This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes activities that are prohibited when using DataObi and forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who accesses the Services, including your users and anyone acting on your behalf.
Prohibited activities
- Breaking any applicable law or regulation, or infringing anyone’s rights.
- Uploading or distributing malware, or attempting to disrupt or degrade the Services.
- Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the Services, or breaching security or authentication measures, without our prior written consent.
- Attempting to access data, accounts or tenants that are not yours (including circumventing tenant isolation).
- Reverse engineering the Services except to the limited extent permitted by law.
- Reselling, sublicensing or providing the Services to third parties except as your plan allows.
- Sending spam or unsolicited messages, or harvesting data unlawfully.
- Using the Services to store or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory or abusive.
- Placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or interfering with other customers’ use.
Data & security responsibilities
- Only submit data you are authorised to use, and comply with applicable data-protection laws when doing so (see our Privacy Policy).
- Keep credentials and API keys confidential and rotate them if they may have been exposed.
- Configure integrations and access controls responsibly, and grant users only the access they need.
- Promptly report suspected vulnerabilities or security incidents to us.
Automated access & APIs
You may use our documented APIs within any published rate limits. You must not use bots, scrapers or automated means to access the Services in ways that are undocumented, abusive, or designed to circumvent limits or security.
Enforcement
If we believe you have violated this AUP, we may investigate and take action, including removing content, throttling, or suspending or terminating access, with or without notice depending on the severity. Where safe and lawful to do so, we will try to notify you and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Serious violations (such as active security threats) may be actioned immediately.
